Habib Louafi holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the École de technologie supérieure (Montreal) and a Master's degree in computer science from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). He was a postdoctoral fellow at Ericsson Canada Security Research Group and Synchromedia Lab. (École de Technologie Supérieure, Montreal). He is currently a regular professor in the Science and Technology Department at TÉLUQ. He was an Assistant Professor of cybersecurity at the New York Institute of Technology - Vancouver Campus. Previously, he held the same position in computer science at the University of Regina (SK). He was also a lecturer in cybersecurity at Polytechnique Montreal.
His research activities include cybersecurity, privacy preservation, computer forensics, cloud computing, machine learning, and optimization applied to cybersecurity.
